Overview of the profairs structure

A trade fair type is the name of a trade fair, for example Supplier Trade Fair. A trade fair event is an event that takes place on a specific date (example: Supplier Trade Fair 2021).

Trade fair type

A trade fair type thus generally comprises a group of similar trade fairs (= trade fair events). The distinction makes sense, since certain data of the trade fairs, which change only rarely, can be transferred automatically from one event to the next.

2. This includes the basic data of the fair type with the data on the project manager. And the nomenclature

The trade fair type also defines the project manager, this address is used for:

• the dispatch of newsletters. The deposited mail address will be used as sender address
• The address and contact details will be displayed in the exhibitor area in the left column

Even if you only conduct one trade fair, creating an associated trade fair type is always mandatory.

Trade fair management

Every trade fair event must be assigned to a trade fair type. With the creation of a trade fair event, among other things, the date of the event and the order deadlines for the store are defined.

• Industry data (nomenclature)
• Texts in the exhibitor area

The following dates are attached to the fair event, changes do not affect other fair events

• All event-specific data of the exhibitor (catalog entry, etc.)
• Store items and categories. However, these can be easily copied to another event
• User groups
